What happens when two people are legally bound to be together every single day for the rest of their lives? A lot of frustrating, embarrassing, and outright hilarious moments, for starters.
If you're a husband or a wife, you know that it's these everyday details that really confirm your marriage, long after you've said "I do." We've listed some of these relatable things about married life, so put your feet up on that couch and let's whine together.
Do we become immune to our spouse's voice as we grow old together? There must be a science to this. It would really explain why wife has to repeat "Please fix the closet door" several times before hubby finally 'hears' it.

Remember those long phone conversations you had back when you were still dating? How you couldn't stop whispering sweet nothings to each other? Yep, those days are gone. These days, you text each other about which toilet paper to get.
Hey, if two people must live together under the same roof and share the same toilet, they might as well be able to talk about each other's poop. Now that's true love.
It's like your marriage license has also become license to be honest to each other, so now, you sometimes regret asking your spouse about how you look. (At least they follow it up with a consolation kiss. Sometimes.)

You appreciate the gesture, but you'd rather get five more minutes of sleep. (And you better get those five minutes, or else!)

Back then, you thought married life with your significant other would be so blissful that you wouldn't mind doing the dishes every night. Surprise, surprise: now, each of you has a 10-point argument about who has to fold the laundry.

At some point, we each feel like we're carrying the brunt of responsibilities while our spouse has it easy. Often, between a married couple, the feeling is mutual. It's one of those ugly truths that sometimes snowball into real resentment, but thankfully, you're more rational and loving than that.
Admit it: you've done some pretty crazy stuff for each other and for your family. Whether it's haggling at the yard sale or complaining to an entire school board, you both find yourself becoming bolder for the ones you love. So no one better cross you -- or your spouse!

Video games? Makeup binges? Sometimes, you feel like you're married to a 42-year-old man-child or to a woman with the mental age of 17. But that's okay. Those harmless childish whims oddly seem endearing to you... occasionally.
Sometimes, it's showering together, sure. But many, many times, it's the pure and simple pleasure of just cuddling with each other. And other times, love means surrendering 85 percent of the bed space to your significant other.

The funniest thing is, despite the craziness and repetitiveness and comedy of your life with your spouse, you would never want to give this up. Your marriage is your adventure and your home all at once, and that's only one of the reasons it's so special.
