real homes with great interior decor tips

We're happy to report that there is no shortage of stylish interiors in our neighborhoods. Our proof? These real-life homes of Gear Den customers who have a flair for decorating!

We continually receive reviews and photos from our customers showing how they've hung their newly-bought wall art. Many of them give us a glimpse of their beautiful houses, styled with affordable and practical decor elements. You can see the first set of homes we've featured here. And because the pictures keep coming, we just had to share this new selection of notable home interiors. Feel free to take a cue from them!

1. Elegant dining room

We're a bit envious of how Rajeeyah F. styled her dining room -- it looks classy without being fussy! It's a space that can host a graceful dinner party but can also transition to a laidback breakfast with the family (thanks in large part to that farmhouse dining set).

Real-world home decor tip: Color coordination is clearly at work here. The room's black and white color scheme is in almost every element, from the curtains to the wall art to the place mats. It seems Rajeeyah also has an eye for shapes and patterns -- notice how she incorporates geometric shapes like checks and diamonds to avoid dullness in the room.

2. Hip living room

Various styles come together in Diana F.'s living room: funky, cozy, and even quirky-cute. We love that she didn't overwhelm the spacious, high-ceiling room with too much ornamentation. Its airiness is a valuable asset!

Real-world home decor tip: Sometimes, all you need is just one decor element to become the eye-catching focal point, and everything else can fall into place. Can you guess the focal point in this living room? Hint: It's the colorful patterned thing on the floor.

3. Corner charmer

We adore how Trudy T. decorated this small corner in her home! Without her thoughtfulness, it would've remained an awkward spot with little appeal or function. But by fitting a table-and-wall art combo in there, Trudy turned it into a camera-ready decor vignette. (Plus, she picked a personalized artwork that earns compliments from guests!)

Real-world home decor tip: Don't give up on those tricky little corners just yet! Maybe all it really needs is a vertical panorama (or "vertorama"), which is exactly the vertical art you see above. Browse Gear Den's panoramic collection and you might find one that fits your home perfectly.

4. Staircase style

Here's another tricky corner made fabulous with some thoughtful decorating. The side of a staircase is often left untouched because not everyone knows what to do with it. But Alishia C. aced that challenge here!

Real-world home decor tip: You only really need two elements for this clever decor trick: a lovely wall art and an equally lovely botanical arrangement below it. Alishia's display draws the eye even more because of her super-stylish bronzed vase.

For good measure, here's another example, this time with Linda D.'s beautiful indoor plant paired with the "Home" artwork you've seen previously:

5. Calm and cozy

We were wowed by this space in Martha B.'s home. With its cabin-like coziness and homey decor, it looks like a great spot for reading a book or taking a lazy afternoon nap!

Real-world home decor tip: Rustic interiors never go out of style, primarily because everyone loves how cozy they feel. Martha gets the rustic feel down pat with that accent wall featuring distressed wood paneling and a warm, sunny window. If you want a similar feel but with less commitment (and budget), go for the next best thing: a large, rustic wall decor with a wood-like design.

6. Art on the table

From this photo alone, it's obvious that Evy C. has glamorous style. The sleek dresser caught our attention, of course, but the symmetrical decor on it makes it even more charismatic. And that red wall didn't escape our notice either!

Real-world home decor tip: Artwork doesn't always have to be hung on the wall. As Evy shows us here, it can also look so classy on top of a table, dresser, or sideboard. This is a useful tip for those who can't drill holes on their wall or just don't want to. (Check out more tips here for displaying art without hanging!)

7. Small shelf, big style

This family corner of Lateesha W. is a flash of genius: she uses a low shelf that would otherwise go unnoticed, and transforms it into an eye-catching display using a tall artwork!

Real-world home decor tip: If you want to cop this look without breaking the bank, you're in luck. You can find inexpensive small shelves at used furniture stores, and at times, even upscale shops carry these pieces at relatively low prices. Alternatively, you can use small furniture that you already have, like a coffee table or a bench. Now all you need to do is flex those decorating muscles to style it into a stunner.
